Pro Spec won the tender to conduct a re roof over the 6 week break of summer school holidays at Scarborough Primary school. The re roof included new battening, sarking, gutters, flashings and facias re painted. The school had multiple leaks so the internal box gutters had to be widened to allow for more water flow which required the roof structure modified to allow for the extra width. Damage to some of the roof joists in the aging building were also found which were fixed and strengthened. All contractors had completed there working at heights accreditations and inductions and scaffold was erect around the building to allow for safe working. All old tiles that were still in good condition were stacked and saved for future roof restoration projects rather than destroying them. The project was completed within the 6 weeks with all parties happy with the overall finished product which was visited by the Premiere Mark McGowan and used in a government photo shoot.
